Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges

Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges are used to check for corrosion and metal wastage from one side only. Basic single echo models can be used on uncoated metal only whereas multiple echo gauges can measure metal thickness without removing any coatings. They are simple instruments and some have the ability to store measurments on the gauge for uploading and writing reports later. Gauges are calibrated by adjusting the velocity of sound within the gauge and they should have the ability to be calibrated for different types of material.
